Regular Scent Work Classes

Over five weeks, you and your dog will explore the foundations of scent work at a pace that suits your dog. You'll be introduced to the box game, learn to read your dog’s unique body language, and gradually take on more complex search challenges.

This course is a fantastic way to build your dog’s confidence, strengthen your bond, and burn off both mental and physical energy—all while having a lot of fun! You’ll be amazed at how powerful your dog’s nose really is.

Please note: This class uses food or toys only as rewards during searches—no target odors are introduced at this level.

This course is for teams who have completed, at a minimum, our Introduction to K9 Nose Work® or an equivalent beginner class.

​

Ideally, you’ll have also completed our Scent Work Elements course—or your dog is already confident searching for food in a variety of environments.

​

Over five weeks, we'll guide you and your dog through the transition from food or toy searches to hunting for Birch essential oil, the first target odour used in K9 Nose Work®.

​

You’ll also receive a starter scent work kit to support your training at home.

Course cost: $300

This course is designed for teams who have completed our Introduction to K9 Nose Work® or an equivalent beginner-level class.

​

Over five weeks, you'll deepen your scent work knowledge by exploring the four key elements of K9 Nose Work®:

• Interior searches

• Exterior searches

• Vehicle searches

• Container searches

 

You'll also build on your leash handling techniques to ensure you're supporting—rather than unintentionally hindering—your dog during searches.

This course is for teams who have completed our Introduction to Odour course, or an equivalent class.

​Over the five weeks, we'll take a look at both dog and human search behaviour, break down our criteria and explore various exercises that will give both you and your dog the clarity you need to start building on the foundation skills you've already learned. ​​
