Regular Scent Work Classes
Introduction to K9 Nose Work®
Over five weeks, you and your dog will explore the foundations of scent work at a pace that suits your dog. You'll be introduced to the box game, learn to read your dog’s unique body language, and gradually take on more complex search challenges.
This course is a fantastic way to build your dog’s confidence, strengthen your bond, and burn off both mental and physical energy—all while having a lot of fun! You’ll be amazed at how powerful your dog’s nose really is.
Please note: This class uses food or toys only as rewards during searches—no target odors are introduced at this level.

Introduction to Odour
This course is for teams who have completed, at a minimum, our Introduction to K9 Nose Work® or an equivalent beginner class.
Ideally, you’ll have also completed our Scent Work Elements course—or your dog is already confident searching for food in a variety of environments.
Over five weeks, we'll guide you and your dog through the transition from food or toy searches to hunting for Birch essential oil, the first target odour used in K9 Nose Work®.
You’ll also receive a starter scent work kit to support your training at home.
Session length: 75 minutes each

Scent Work Elements Continuing K9 Nose Work®
This course is designed for teams who have completed our Introduction to K9 Nose Work® or an equivalent beginner-level class.
Over five weeks, you'll deepen your scent work skills by exploring the four key elements of K9 Nose Work®:

Interior searches

Exterior searches
-
Vehicle searches
-
Container searches
You'll also build on your leash handling techniques to ensure you're supporting—rather than unintentionally hindering—your dog during searches.

Level 1
Scent Work Skills Builder
This course is for teams who have completed our Introduction to Odour course, or who are confidently working on Birch target odour at a minimum.
Your dog should already be comfortable searching for Birch across a variety of environments and elements, including:

Vehicles
Over the five weeks, we’ll build on your existing skills and introduce more advanced concepts, including:

New target odours
-
Working with distractors
-
Multiple hide placements

Level 2
Scent Work Skills Builder
This course is for teams who have completed our Level 1 Skills Builder or are confidently working on all three target odours: Birch, Anise, and Clove.
Your dog should already be comfortable searching across all four elements—containers, interiors, exteriors, and vehicles—in a variety of environments.
Over the five weeks, we’ll expand on the foundational skills introduced in Level 1 and tackle more advanced challenges, including:

High and inaccessible hides

Buried and water hides

Deepening handler skills to better support your dog and enhance search performance
