Amy’s journey into scent work began when Comet, the teeny bundle of chaos, charged into her life. Fearful and anxious, Comet communicated in the only way he knew how - with his teeth. Amy and Comet soon discovered K9 Nose Work® and began training with the incredible John Sam. From their very first class, they were hooked. Through scent work, Comet was able to tap into his natural instincts and love for hunting, which helped him to find calm and confidence in a world that once overwhelmed him.

Today, Amy and Comet are proud to be trialing successfully in scent work games. Amy is now working with her young dog, Cricket, with plans to trial together in the future.

A passionate advocate for dog training, Amy became a qualified dog trainer in 2019 through the National Dog Trainers Federation. Since then, she has worked with many wonderful dogs and their humans. Amy is committed to continual learning, regularly participating in education courses, seminars, and workshops to stay up to date in the ever-evolving field of dog training. While she still enjoys helping others with behavior modification and obedience training, Amy’s focus has shifted to creating a safe and inclusive space for people to enjoy the fun and transformative experience of scent work with their dogs.

Amy believes that every dog and human team deserves the chance to experience the improved relationship, confidence, teamwork, and pure joy that comes from playing scent work games together.
